This 6-week Book Group for men, based on “Slings and Stones” by Dr. Mike Rakes, will explore how God works within the mind and heart to build courage, strengthen faith, and overcome inner battles that often block spiritual growth. Using the story of David and Goliath, the group aims to help men identify thought patterns that weaken confidence in God and learn to respond with greater trust, a biblical perspective, and dependence on Christ. Through group discussion, reflection, and practical steps, participants will be encouraged to develop resilience, spiritual maturity, and a deeper connection with the Lord.
